How to use Fynder!
Fynder! doesn't show you hundreds of places. It ranks what's near you, explains why, and tells you the truth about what will actually be open when you arrive. This page is the whole manual — five minutes, and you'll know everything the app does.

Open the app.
One question: Find what you need. Right now.

Share your location — or don’t.
Fynder! uses your location only while you use the app. Tap Use my location, or Choose an area instead and pick any city, district or address. Everything works either way.

Tap a mode.
Four intents at the bottom of the map: Eat, Explore, Fun, Emergency. That’s the entire navigation.

Decide.
A ranked list opens over the map. The strongest picks carry a badge that tells you why they’re there. Tap a card for the full story. Tap Directions and your maps app takes over.
Reading the results
Every mode shares the same honest mechanics. Learn them once.
The list is real, not rationed. You see every noteworthy place that clears Fynder’s quality bar — no artificial cap, and no padding either. If only a couple of places are genuinely worth it, that’s what you get, with the offer to Search wider.
Badges are decision roles, not a leaderboard. The top of the list answers three different questions:
- Best overall “If you don’t want to think, pick this.”
- Closest strong choice “Want to be there sooner? This one still clears the bar.”
- Discovery pick “Something with more character, still genuinely good.”
Arrival honesty. “Open now” only describes this moment — so Fynder projects your arrival instead. Cards say Open when you arrive, Closing soon, Opens soon or Closed. And when opening hours can’t be verified, the app never bluffs: it says Hours not confirmed.

The honest divider. Below the ranked picks you may see More open nearby — not picks — ordinary open places, listed so you know they exist, never dressed up as recommendations. If nearby places are closed right now, the list says so instead of quietly looking thin.
Nothing strong nearby? The app tells you plainly — Nothing strong this close. — and offers to expand the search. It never fills silence with weak picks.
No score theater. You’ll never see a raw algorithm number on a card. You see the reason: rating and review count from Google, travel time, open state — and on the place page, a plain Why this one section. And the first screen carries zero ads. That’s a rule, not a phase.
Above the list: an All chip, a few one-tap quick chips, and a Filters button. A quick chip is just a shortcut into the same filters — nothing hidden behind it. You can also switch Walking / Driving and adjust the search radius.

Eat
“What’s actually good near me, right now?”
Eat ranks restaurants, cafés, bakeries and street food by a balance of trusted quality, real travel time and being open — not by distance alone, and never by rating alone.
What the badges mean here
Best overall is the strongest all-round table. Closest strong choice gets you eating sooner without a quality drop. Discovery pick is the more local, more characterful alternative that still clears the bar.
The Filters sheet
Price level, distance, Open late, dietary (Vegetarian-friendly, Vegan) — and a MICHELIN Guide section: MICHELIN Guide selection only, sourced from the public MICHELIN Guide Türkiye 2026 selection and labeled exactly that. One honest detail worth knowing: Places with unknown price stay listed — a missing price tag never silently deletes a place.
Explore
“What’s worth seeing near me?”
Explore surfaces history, culture and views: landmarks, museums, galleries, monuments and viewpoints. Closeness counts for more here — a remarkable place a short walk away shouldn’t lose to a famous one across the city.
What the badges mean here
Best overall is the landmark most worth your time from where you stand. Closest strong choice is culture you can reach in minutes. Discovery pick is the quieter site most people walk past.
Fun
“Where’s tonight happening?”
Fun finds bars, clubs, live music, cinema, comedy and games around you — ranked for whether they’ll actually be going when you arrive, not just whether they exist.
What the badges mean here
Best overall is the strongest room in reach. Closest strong choice is the good night that’s closest. Discovery pick is the venue with character the algorithmic average would miss.
The Filters sheet adds Open late and Tonight — places you can actually be at tonight, not places that were open this afternoon.
Emergency
“Where’s the nearest help?”
Emergency is built differently, on purpose: no photos, no ratings, no popularity, no ads — ever. Speed and accuracy only.
How it works. Opening Emergency asks one question: What kind of help? — Medical or Police. Fynder then ranks the appropriate facilities by real travel time, verified openness and facility type. An emergency room outranks an ordinary clinic. Ratings play no role here at all.
What the badges mean here
- Fastest appropriate help — the right kind of facility with the shortest real travel time.
- Verified 24/7 — the option whose round-the-clock availability is most strongly confirmed.
- Next closest — the backup if the first can’t take you.
Calling. In Türkiye, Fynder shows the verified national emergency line as Call 112. You always confirm before dialing — the app asks Call 112? and dials only when you say Call now. Open HAYAT 112 opens the official app if it’s installed; otherwise you’re offered the direct call instead. Every call is placed by you, from your phone — Fynder never dials or messages anyone on your behalf.
Getting there. Go now starts directions immediately in your maps app.
Honesty under pressure. If a facility’s hours can’t be verified, the card says Hours not confirmed instead of guessing. If your location accuracy is low, a banner tells you results may be off while the app refreshes. If you’re using a manually chosen area instead of your live location, Emergency says that too — so you’re never misled about what “nearest” means.
Emergency
Fynder is not a substitute for emergency services. In an immediate emergency, call 112 directly.

The place page
Tap any card for the full picture: photos and a handful of reviews from Google, shown with full attribution — Fynder never claims to have read more than it was given. You’ll find the address, the open state (“Closes in…” / “Opens in…” / Hours not confirmed), and the price level when known.
Why this one explains the recommendation in plain words — the rating and review count, the travel time, whether it’s expected to be open when you arrive. If something matters, it’s said; if it isn’t known, it isn’t claimed.

Saved places & the Library
Tap the bookmark on any place to keep it. The Library — Saved & Recents — holds two tabs: Saved, your own list, and Recents, places you’ve viewed.
Both live on your device only. No account, no cloud profile, no sync you didn’t ask for. Delete the app and they’re gone — that’s the deal, stated plainly.
From saved places to a route
Saved a day’s worth of İstanbul? Tap Build a route (you’ll need at least two saved places) and Fynder orders them into a sensible visit: the walking-logical sequence, per-leg walk or drive times, a projected arrival for each stop, and the total.
The app is honest about what this is: the route note says Ordered by a sensible visiting logic. and Times are approximate. If a stop would be closed by the time you’d reach it, the ordering works around that door instead of pretending it’s open.
Driving? In İstanbul, Fynder can show an approximate taxi fare band — always a range, never a promise, and always dated to the official tariff it came from. The note A fixed-price haggle is against the tariff. is information, not an instruction. You can pick the currency shown in Settings.
And to be precise about who does what: Fynder plans the order. Booking a table, calling ahead, messaging a place — that stays entirely with you. The app never contacts anyone for you.
Changing your area
The capsule at the top of the map shows where Fynder is looking. Tap it to open the area picker — City, district or address — and the app explores around whatever you choose. Recent searches are kept for you, and you can clear them anytime.
On the map itself: drag somewhere interesting and tap Search this area — nothing re-searches until you ask. Go to my location snaps you back.
No location permission? Everything above still works. Pick an area; Fynder searches around it.
Appearance · Language · What Fynder learns
Appearance
Fynder follows your system look by default. Prefer to choose? Settings → Appearance → System, Dark or Light.
Language
Fynder speaks Turkish and English — natively written, not machine-mirrored. Settings → Language → System, Türkçe or English.
What Fynder learns
From the app, verbatim:
Fynder! works without an account. Your saved places and recently viewed places stay on this device. Your location is used only while the app is open and is never stored as a history. Rankings come from place quality, travel time and opening hours — not from a hidden profile of you.
Honest limits
- İstanbul, for now. Fynder is launching in İstanbul and built to know it like a local. We don’t claim coverage we don’t have.
- iPhone first. Fynder! is on the App Store.
- Venues, not tonight’s lineup. Fun finds places; it doesn’t invent event schedules.
- Hours not confirmed means exactly that. When we can’t verify, we say so — everywhere in the app, including Emergency.
